Protecting Water Rights for First Nations

Bill C-37, the First Nations Water Act, was tabled in June 2026 and fails to recognize the human right of all First Nations individuals to access clean water on reserve. In fact, this legislation has deliberately removed the federal government's duty to ensure clean water for everyone in Canada. Bill C-37 is a clear violation of international law and another example of the Carney government backsliding on human rights for Indigenous peoples.

Water is life, and life is not negotiable.

We must not allow Bill C-37 to pass in its current form! Let's join together to ensure that everyone across Canada has access to clean water.
