Winnipeg NDP MPs join call for federal help for looming mortgage and rent crisis

WINNIPEG: NDP MP Leah Gazan (Winnipeg Centre) joins Giganawenimaanaanig, Manitoba’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+) Implementation Committee, alongside families and survivors to honour a recent funding announcement for the Red Dress Alert pilot program in Manitoba. The Government of Canada announced $1.2 million in funding to Giganawenimaanaanig, as well as $100,000 for evaluation on implementing the alert system nationally.
