Leah Gazan, NDP MP for Winnipeg Centre Released the Following Statement in Response to Today’s Cabinet Announcement
WINNIPEG: MP Leah Gazan, the NDP’s critic for women and gender equality, is condemning Prime Minister Carney’s decision to move the women and gender equality portfolio under Minister Steven Guilbeault. While the Prime Minister eliminated a cabinet position for women and gender equality in his recent cabinet shuffle, his office has confirmed Guilbeault will be responsible for this file, normally looked after by a woman minister.
