What do you want me to fight for in 2025?
My work is only possible because of the people in Winnipeg Centre.
I cannot imagine being a Member of Parliament without the support of our community. Every time I rise to speak or cast a vote in the House of Commons, I do so with the safety and wellbeing of constituents and the vibrancy of Winnipeg Centre in mind.
That’s why I’m so proud of the progress that I and my NDP colleagues have achieved in recent years. This includes advancing the Red Dress Alert to notify the public when an Indigenous woman or gender diverse person goes missing, $10 per day childcare, free dental care, universal access to contraceptives and diabetes medication, greater funding for affordable non-profit housing, and investments in so many vital projects in Winnipeg Centre. I’m also proud to have represented the values of our community by advocating that the Liberal Government uphold the rule of law and protect human rights in Palestine.
I want to hear your voice!
At every step, I have worked to keep our community at the centre. I’ve heard from dedicated constituents at local events, met with community-based organizations, spoken to you on the phone, read your replies on mailer cards like this one, and worked with my Winnipeg Centre team to make sure my direction comes from our community.
And our work is not over. I want to know how you think I, along with my NDP colleagues, have represented you in recent years. Your input matters greatly to me.
I believe that democracy isn’t just an occasional event; it’s an ongoing process that needs your continued engagement. This is a chance for you to be heard and I hope you will share your thoughts.
